It's Great to be Eight!

Just as we did with Sarah, Nathan and I wanted Andrew to know happy we are that he had made the decision to get baptized, so we decided that for the eight days leading up to his baptism, he would wake up to find something special that would happen to him for that day.

These are Andrew's "It's Great to be Eight" days.

1st-Andrew and Mom went out on a date. It began with shopping at The Children's Store and finding the coolest frogs, lunch at Red Robin, shopping at Toys R Us and then walking around the temple.

2nd-Andrew got new scriptures and a case from Grandma and Grandpa Smith.

3rd-We had a special FHE complete with Book of Mormon games and prizes.

4th-Andrew got a BSU Scentsy warmer to remind him of following the True Light of the World.

5th-Andrew and Dad went out on a date. They went to the Cheesecake Factory and then shopped for new church shoes.

6th-Andrew got a BSU comforter from Nonnie and Grandpa Sears to remind him of the comfort the Holy Ghost gives us.

7th-Andrew had a cousin birthday party. We went bowling and out to dinner at Arby's (Thanks SO much Uncle Rob!).

8th-Andrew got a new blue blazer and slacks for his special day.
