Check out Sarah's new posts on her blog here!

the BIG dipper

Benj believes that EVERYTHING he eats should be dipped. Normally his favorite dipping sauces are Ranch or ketchup. This week, I caught him dipping his brownie in salsa (and it was hot salsa) and his rice krispie treat in tomato soup. Yummy!!

Stink!

Andrew had an assignment a few weeks ago to read a book, choose a character from the book and then create a body mask of that character. He read, Stink and the Incredible Super-Galactic Jawbreaker. Then, in front of his class he wore the body mask becoming that character and was asked questions. The younger boys and mom got to go see Andrew do his project...he did a GREAT job being Stink! His teacher put together this video of all the kids in the class. We hope you can see our cute "Stink"!

skiing

Last Saturday, Andrew and Sarah went skiing for the first time. They went up to Bogus Basin with Nathan and their friend, Hunter. The kids started with an hour lesson and then had the rest of the evening to practice their skills. They had SO much fun that they were asking to go again the next day. Nathan was impressed how quickly they picked it up and that they didn't get hurt...someone ran into Andrew and Sarah almost ran into a tree...but they LOVED it!!!

spelling bee

Sarah was asked to be in the fourth grade spelling bee along with 12 other kids. She took this very seriously and had mom quiz her on the words (we were given a list to study) from the moment she got home from school until she went to sleep that night and then again the next morning from the time she opened her eyes until she got out of the car at school. She knew EVERY word on that list correctly!! We knew she was going to win. The three youngest boys and mom went to the school to watch Sarah. The first round words weren't even on the list. Good thing Sarah knew how to spell drive. The next three rounds all had words that were on the list...the confidence was building! Then, the next round words weren't on the list and it really threw the kids...including Sarah. We were all SO proud that she made it that far but especially that she worked so hard to do well!

sweet threads

Our very thoughtful and talented neighbor, Melissa (remember this post where she and her husband Josh made an igloo with our kids) made this onesie for Levi. She also gave him a short sleeved one to wear this summer. He looked so cute wearing it to church! If you want to check out Melissa's other amazing handmade items go here!
