National Museum Day

I LOVE National Museum day. I was thrilled when I saw that our soccer games were both in the morning and nothing else was on our calendar for this very important day. I was giddy as we drove into the park and saw all the displays and people gathered for this wonderful (FREE) day at our Idaho Historical Museum.
We saw very famous people....

Spencer Breaks his Arm

On September 14th, I got a phone call that Spencer had fallen at school and hurt his arm. He had tried to go down the armpit slide a different way and had fallen off the top of it. Luckily, I was having lunch with Kara Dudley and so she suggested we take Spencer to her husband's office to get x-rays to see if it was really broken. So, we went to see Dr. Dudley (see a picture of him here....although he didn't look this way when we saw him )and he took x-rays confirming that something looked broken. The pediatric orthopedic wasn't in his office that afternoon so we had to wait until the next morning to have more x-rays taken and a cast put on. Spencer was thrilled that he could have TWO colors on his cast and that one of them is glow-in-the-dark. Spencer was a trooper through it all!

Please note that he has NO FRONT TEETH. (Well, they are growing in and I didn't get a picture right after they came out.)

Benjamin's First Day of Preschool

Benjamin started preschool at the beginning of September with Miss April as his teacher. He LOVES going every Tuesday and Thursday with his friends, Jack and Charlie.

August

This is what we did in August.....first we went to Nonnie and Grandpa's for 10 days. This is the first time our dad has come with us and we LOVED it!!
We went to the County Fair with Nonnie, Aunt Angie, Alexa and Sophie. We loved looking at all the booths, going on fun rides eating lots of yummy fair food and the animals were a highlight for all the kids!

After seeing Grandma we drove on to the beach. We stayed in Florence at the same hotel we always stay at...Driftwood Shores. We were SUPER lucky to have such great weather and we loved that we got to go with Aunt Angie, Alexa and Sophie.

We helped Nonnie with her backyard. The kids and I helped with weeding and then Nathan helped Nonnie with a bunch of planting. He wanted to get it all done so the last night we were there he worked in the dark. I wish we would have taken a finished picture of Nonnie's backyard. I think it looked beautiful!!!

We went to several baseball games.

Nonnie and Grandpa took us out to dinner at the Pilot Butte Drive-In. They serve an 18 ounce hamburger so we ALL shared a hamburger and fries.
This is the kiddos waiting....they had no idea what Nonnie had ordered.

Grandpa took us to see Toy Story 3 and I think that it just might be my favorite movie of the year!!
Thank you Nonnie and Grandpa for a FANTASTIC summer vacation!!!

Right after we got back it was SPENCER'S birthday! He turned SIX!!! He opened presents in the morning. Then in the evening we went to the park for a picnic and to play in the water. Afterwards, we went to Cold Stone for some yummy ice cream. He had a friends party that was all about Zhu Zhu pets.
