June

Now that we are halfway through July, I thought I should blog about some of the things we did in June.

Together, (mostly Dad) we put up a new swing set in our backyard.

We drove to Twin Falls so we could be at our cousin, Kaden's baptism and cousin, Kolten's blessing! We love spending time with our cousins!

Andrew and Dad spent a day at Cub Scouts Day Camp doing cool things like archery and BB shooting. Andrew earned 2 belt loops that day and 5 more during the month.

We went to two parades....Eagle Fun Days and Meridian Dairy Days. Both were very different, but SUPER fun!!
The beginning of the Eagle parade is "dry" and you get lots of candy.

The second half of the parade is "wet" and we get WET!!!

We all enjoyed free chocolate milk, TCBY yogurt, string cheese and the kids all got t-shirts at the Meridian Dairy parade!

Levi loved the string cheese!

We also went to Wahooz to play a game of Miniature golf.

The kids dressed themselves this day...they like matching and I like it because it's easy to find them when we go places.

We went to our friends Abby and Hailey's house to play and then walked to Powell's Sweet Shop.

first swim meet

Sarah and Andrew had their first swim meet on Saturday. Andrew swam a 25 meter freestyle in the 16th event and then Sarah swam a 50 freestyle in the 17th event. Then we all sat around until Andrew swam a relay in the 69th event and Sarah was to swim in a relay in the 71st event but some of those teammates weren't there so she wasn't able to swim in that one and was a bit disappointed.

I LOVE this picture because Andrew is getting ready to race and yet he looked up in the bleachers to make sure I was watching him and this is his response to me...melts my heart....

Speed is the important thing...

Ready on the block....

Sarah totally focused on her form....

Things we learned from our first meet....take more snacks...Sarah and Andrew want to swim in EVERY event possible because sitting around is not as fun as racing....our cute kids are amazing swimmers and their parents couldn't be prouder of them!!

oh happy day!

Last Friday, Spencer graduated from kindergarten. The kids sang three really cute songs and then were given their "diplomas". We are SO proud of Spencer!

Mrs. Ramsey was a wonderful teacher for Spencer! He only missed ONE day of school all year!!!

We wanted to celebrate our kids doing such a great job in school this year so we went to Olive Garden for dinner and then went to Krispy Kreme. For every "A" or "E" on your report card you get a free donut (up to six free donuts) and so we came home with 18 donuts! It was also free donut day so we definitely had our fill of Krispy Kreme donuts!!!

Now it's on to Summer! We've made some goals. We have a little structure for our week. We have opportunities to earn money. I LOVE having my kids at home!!! YEAH for me!!

Family Pictures

Last Sunday we walked to the barn in hopes of taking some family pictures. Here are a few of the almost 200 we took.

Ohhh....I think I have the CUTEST KIDS!!!!

As you can see some participants were a bit more cooperative than others.

That's it. We were DONE!!!

Neighbors

While we were driving on Andy's Gulch one afternoon Andrew spotted this family of foxes on the hill. We think it was a mom (we were sure the dad was off "working") and 5 babies. I'm not sure if we should call them neighbors or neighborhood visitors. Either way they were so fun to watch!

Sarah's Music Program

Sarah performed with her class in a music program about West Africa. She loved the singing, playing the drums but loved the dancing the most. She did a great job!!

Now, we just need to get Sarah to smile a little more and to look at her dad when he takes her picture!

On Fire

Look who earned his wolf badge!!! He also earned one gold and two silver arrow points!! He is ON FIRE with scouting!!! Way to go, Andrew!!!

(I know it's a bad quality picture, but my camera battery died right as he was receiving his award and I only had my iphone to record this amazing accomplishment!)
