August

August was just like the other two months of our summer - BUSY!!!
We started off the month sending Sarah off to her first year of Girl's Camp. She LOVED it. In fact, I think it ruined real life for her. She will never be the same. It was a week of fun and spiritual experiences.

We had an amazing weekend with Nathan's family. Katie and her family came from Colorado and Karl and his family came from Twin Falls. We played Glow-in-the-dark miniature golf and then went to dinner.

Grandma and Grandpa took us to Coolwater Creek Events for an evening of delicious food and a fun melodrama.

Andrew was pulled from the audience to be in the melodrama. He played poker, then folded and was asked to leave town. It was REALLY fun!

We went to the Merc for some treats.

We spent at least 8 hours SHOE shopping with our 5 kids. These are the shoes Andrew chose.

Our good friends from our old neighborhood, The Hamm's came and spent a day with us. We went swimming, played at our house and then went for Shave Ice. We get together one day a summer and have since we both moved away from the old neighborhood seven years ago. So fun!!!

We went to Oregon for a few days to visit Nonnie and Grandpa, Angie, Alexa and Sophie. We went to the river - the water was freezing! That night we went to a baseball game.

After visiting in Bend a few days we were supposed to drive to Portland for Andrew's soccer tournament. In the middle of the night Andrew started throwing up so we decided we had better head home. It was disappointing that Andrew didn't get to go the tournament, but he was sick for a couple of days and we would have doubled our time on the road had we gone. Also, while we were in Bend, Nathan was called to be the 2nd Counselor in our new Bishopbric. It was good that we came home early so we could buy him a new suit for his big day. (Picture of the new suit coming!)

The kids started school. See previous post!

Four out of our five kids had dentist appointments. NO cavities for everyone!!!

Spencer received his Bobcat Award at his first pack meeting.

It was a wonderful summer and we are all sad to see it end!
