It seems like we just finished soccer season (our last game was May 24) and now we are in the thick of swim team. Sarah, Andrew and Spencer are all doing swim team. They competed in two meets in June and all of them did really well!

I didn't post very many soccer pictures, so here are just a few...







This was a different day when he played in a snow storm. The flakes were huge, just not in this picture.

Next, are the swim meet pictures.








We sure LOVE our parades! First, we went to the Eagle Fun day parade. This one is so fun because you get plenty of candy during the beginning of the parade and then you get DRENCHED during the second part of the parade.







The next weekend, we went to the Meridian Dairy day parade. We love this parade because we get free milk, cheese and t-shrits along with lots of candy. Oh, and it's fun to see all the old cars too!




One night, the boys had a sleepover outside under the swingset. Andrew lasted until 10pm. Spencer lasted until 2am. Benjamin had to be woken up at 9am.


Another evening, we had a S'mores party with our neighbors. Our neighbors Josh and Melissa walked around our block and told everyone that we would be having a S'mores party in 30 minutes. Out of the 19 houses on our block, 13 families came. It was a fun and yummy evening!


At the end of June, we went to Bend. We went to Belnap Spring to see the secret garden and go on a hike.






We met Great-Grandma Eileen and Aunt Sandy for lunch.

Then, on the way home we stopped at Scout Lake and our kids swam in a lake for the first time. It was chilly, but they loved it!!




We went to lots of parks. This one was one of my favorites when I was a kid...I loved the boat!!







We went to High Deseret Museum.



We did some playing.



We did some climbing.


We did some watering.





We played some games.





We sawed some logs.



Even Levi "sawed" some logs.


We shoveled some shavings.

We did a few chores so that we could go see Cars 2.

The kids went to a baseball game with Nonnie and their cousins.


Thank you Nonnie and Grandpa! We had a wonderful time and we appreciate all that you do for us!

School's Out!

I can't believe it is the last day of school! We said our goodbyes to our wonderful teachers!







Then, we headed to the Merc for shave ice and a treat! Yeah for another great year!! (Spencer looks sad in this picture because he told us that he is sad. He LOVES school more than any of our kids and will truly miss his friends!)



Isn't he so CUTE!!! He will be the happiest about school being out as he LOVES to play with his older siblings!

Weekend Away

This past weekend, we went to McCall to enjoy the long weekend. It was SO relaxing and we had a wonderful time!!! This is the first time we've see the cabin with no snow in the front.



On Saturday, we went into town to get some candy and ice cream.











The kids played on the beach.

And our visit wouldn't be complete without pictures of someone feeding Hot Dog Bob. Levi wasn't afraid of her at all.

Survival

These survival bracelets are the BIGGEST most POPULAR trend at our kids school right now. So, what do we do when something is BIG...we join in with the trend and go crazy!! No, not really, but we have made quite a few and don't see an end of the possibilities!



What do you do with a survival bracelet? First, it just looks cool and that is very important! Second, if you are out in the wild and need to survive...you will!!! (I copied this next paragraph from a website that sells the survival bracelets.)

So what are the many uses of paracord? The answer is pretty much anything and everything mainly limited by a persons imagination to use the product. Broken shoe laces up a mountain? The outer sheath makes excellent boot laces and will most likely outlast the originals that came with the boots. Need some quick thread? The inner cores are great for impromptu fishing line or first aid. Need some lashing for a tarp shelter? Again take out the the inner strands and you have all the cord that you need! Need to fix the Space Shuttle on it's second mission (No not a joke, paracord was actually used to repair the Space Shuttle in 1997). It sounds a bit ridiculous but paracord is so useful for replacing everything that it is even now used in space. Back on earth a broken gear strap on your kayak, making a field repair to your backpack or making an impromptu rope for a bear bag... the list goes on.

So, now you can see why these bracelets are SO SUPER popular right now. I actually hope we never have to use one of them, but we do have an Eagle Scout and a Bear in our home and as their motto is BE PREPARED, I guess we always will be if we wear our survival bracelets!!!

We Have Us A Winner

Last Saturday, at our neighborhood Lady Bug Festival Andrew decided to enter the pie eating contest. He was told that he didn't have to eat the crust, just the chocolate filling and whip cream. There were about 20 other kids who also entered the contest.

Pinewood Derby 2011

Andrew participated in his second Pinewood Derby. We think he had a pretty cool looking car! Way to go, Andrew! Nathan does such a good job at running the derby!
