On June 1st, Sarah graduated from 6th grade. She was excited and enjoyed the afternoon celebrating with her friends at the pool.
Her brothers love her SO much!!
Walking out of her elementary school for the last time.
We celebrated the beginning of summer by going to the pool and making a trip to Goody's for ice cream.
We began our summer with writing down a list of all the fun we wanted to have.
Something we didn't have on our list, but is something we always like to do is "helping" at the Whitings Farm.
We went Geocaching for FHE one evening.
The three oldest kids had a swim meet. It was FREEZING that morning. Our kiddos swam great!
Can you see how the adults dressed? That's how cold it was.
Andrew's relay team got first despite the fact that Andrew didn't have the use of his goggles.
I love this picture of Spencer - smiling as he swims.
We went to Provo for a long weekend to visit my sister and her family and see her new home. We LOVED everything about being there. My sister is the PERFECT hostess and boy howdy did I learn a lot from her! She made us yummy new recipes, made sure we were busy but not too busy and never seemed stressed to have an extra seven people in her home. Everything she cooked was delicious!
She took us to BYU and we visited the Bean Museum.
We absolutely loved walking around on the BYU campus!
We had to have Creamery ice cream and get BYU shirts for all the kiddos! YUM!!
Her new house backs up to the Provo river so we had to check it out. We fed the cute baby chicks and did a little exploring.
We went to Bridal Veil Falls and cooled off in the water.
Our fabulous host and her sweet little girls! (Bummer but Ryan had to work.)
We went to a really fun park with a river and water feature.
We spent a day in downtown Salt Lake City. First, we went to the Church History Museum. We walked through Temple Square and then went to the Discovery Gateway Museum.
We got to see some amazing chalk art at the Gateway Mall. We can't thank Jayna, Ryan and their girls enough for making our trip so memorable!!
I was able to sneak away one evening to have ice cream and visit with my very first roommate from Ricks, Carol Louise. Oh, it was so wonderful to catch up and see her sweet family. She has the most talented, smart, beautiful (and handsome) children. I'm so grateful I was able to spend time with Carol!
The next weekend, was our Smith Family Reunion in Wendell. It was great to see so much family. The highlights of the reunion were Andrew and Nathan fishing with Uncle Dave and Matt. Andrew caught some amazing fish! We loved the opportunity to learn more about Great-Grandpa Smith and the Family Auction. I wish we had taken more pictures.
Aunt Nip and Uncle Laurence teaching us about Great-Grandpa Smith.
Our cousins, Sophie and Alexa came to visit us for a couple of days.
Pack meeting for the month of June was held at Brother and Sister Hendrick's home. All the kids got to ride horses, play horseshoes and "ride the bull". Andrew got quite a few awards that night! Everyone loved riding the horses and it surprised me that Levi had no hesitations and could have ridden all night.
Getting tied to the tree was a BIG thing at our house. Levi saw someone else get tied up and wanted to do it too.
We went to the Idaho Aquarium one day as it was something on our list of Summer Fun. It really was a fun place to visit. Everyone loved feeding the fish seaweed and touching the stingrays and baby sharks and touching the Iguana.
