Obsessed
Levi is a bit obsessed with "Dad's Toys". He loves Nathan's leaf blower and the lawn mower and I mean he REALLY loves them! Anytime a door is left unlocked he darts outside to find the lawn mower and repeatedly says, "Da Da". If all the doors are locked he darts out to the garage where the leaf blower is kept and then again repeatedly says, "Da Da". Because of course, Da Da is the one in our family who uses these two toys. He doesn't love to be close when they are on...he doesn't love the loud noise nor does he love being blown by the blower, but he definitely wants to be somewhat close when they are in use. He thinks they are the COOLEST toys!!

Labor Day Weekend
To start out our Labor Day, we decided to head down to Ann Morrison Park for the Boise Balloon Classic Night Glow. We met our friends, the Reeves and enjoyed seeing the balloons at night.
Then, we woke up early the next morning to go back to the park to see the balloons again. We all agreed that we enjoyed the morning better than the night. There is just something amazing about being so close to those GINORMOUS balloons as they fill up with air and then take off right in front of you. It is such a beautiful sight!!
This balloon was one of our favorites!
Someone was a little tired from being up late the previous night and up early the next morning.
Then we had a little hot chocolate to warm us all up before taking in the sights and sounds of the Saturday Market.
On the actual day of Labor we did a little laboring (cleaning), went to see a movie and had the missionaries over for dinner. For our Family Home Evening treat and activity we decided to have our own Pie Eating Contest. Watch and Enjoy!!
(When I can get the video working...I will post it here! Come back to see the fun!)
A delicious time was had by all!!
August 2011
The month of August was a busy one for us! We started the month off with the Championship Swim Meet in Hidden Springs. Our kids did AWESOME!!! Sarah swam in four events and the boys each swam in five. It was a long seven and a half hour meet, but they all agree that they will do it again next year! Way to go, swimmers!!
The next weekend, we headed to Salt Lake City for Andrew's first soccer tournament. Andrew's coach prepared us that the boys would be playing the BEST of Utah but we didn't really realize that until they started playing. Andrew did great and we were so proud of his attitude! They lost their first three games and were victorious on their last game!
This is Andrew's coach giving them a pep talk during a half-time.
This was our teams sideline. Out of the 23 boys on the team, all 23 boys and their families came for the tournament.
This was Andrew's cheering section! Jayna, Ryan, Eliza, Norah and Heidi all came too, I just don't have pictures of them. A HUGE thank you to my family for coming to cheer for Andrew!
This is after we won our game! Boy howdy did it feel good to win!!!!
After the last soccer game, we drove into downtown Salt Lake to have lunch and visit the Planetarium with Jon, Palmer and Caleb.
The kiddos got to go to Mars.
They had so much fun they decided to go to the Moon.
Levi LOVED the moon and cried when it was time to leave.
We did a few things before school started. We spent a morning at Bounce.
We had a yummy shave ice with soft serve ice cream!!!
We went to a comic book store so we could see the Archie Van.
We had so much fun putting on the carnival at our family reunion that we thought it would be super fun to host an End of Summer Carnival for our neighborhood friends. We had over 100 people come and it was a BLAST!
And then before we knew it, it was time to go back to school. We did need to do a little shopping before and then we were ready!
The first day of school is just not the first day of school without a picture next to "the Rock"!
The kiddos waiting in line.
I love that Nathan got this picture of Sarah....not really sure that she felt like she looked, but luckily he also got the next one of her looking how she truly felt about going back to school.
Then, after their first day of school we sat down to eat chocolate cookies and visit about their days.
I sure do miss my kiddos, but I'm glad that they are all happy with their teachers and glad to spend their days with friends. Here's to another great year!!
Benj has started soccer and LOVES it!!! Let the soccer games begin!
